Kerala Agro Fruit Products, a public sector company located at Punalur, has resumed functioning after remaining closed for the last six years.

In a press release issued here on Thursday, the company said its products such as mango juice would soon reach the market.

The company had been functioning smoothly in the initial years after its inception in 1982, but it became defunct in 2004 due to various reasons, the press release said. Its revival was made possible through certain modernisation measures initiated at the plant, in addition to assistance from the government.

Expansion of production capacity too will be taken up at the factory soon, the press release said.
