What is NMMS and NTSE?

NTSE is a scheme to identify talented students from Class 10 for scholarship . A student will get Rs. 1,250 per month for Class 11 and 12 and scholarship of Rs. 2,000 per month for undergraduate and post graduates.

There will be a two-stage selection process with the first one to be done by the State while the second one will be done by the NCERT. Under the National Merit Cum Means Scholarship scheme, it is proposed to award one lakh scholarships to gifted or meritorious students from Class 9 whose parental income was not more than Rs.1.50 lakh per annum.

The amount of scholarship is proposed to be Rs.6,000 per annum. The scholarship will be given for students’ education from Class 9 to 12.
