K.L. Ashok, General Secretary of the State unit of Karnataka Komu Sauharda Vedike (KKSV), said that people should vote for candidates with a secular outlook and a clean record in the forthcoming Assembly elections.
He was speaking after releasing the booklet titled Mahadrohada Karala Dinagalu which details the five years of “misrule” of the BJP government. The booklet has been brought out by the Central Committee of KKSV.
Mr. Ashok said that the BJP government had followed the rightwing agenda dictated to it by the Sangh Parivar. The thoughts of the Sangh Parivar were regressive. “The people should see to it that political parties following communal agenda are not elected. We want communal harmony to prevail in the entire State,” he said.
He said that the people should also not elect those parties, who profess secularism, but had no qualms in joining hands with communal forces. The KSSV would print a large number of pamphlets and distribute them throughout the State.
The five-year rule of the BJP was the most corrupt the State had ever seen. There were charges of corruption against many BJP Ministers. The BJP encouraged defections from other parties under its infamous ‘Operation Kamala’, Mr. Ashok said.
