Two injured as car hits DCP’s vehicle

Two persons in a car were injured when it hit the vehicle of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) K.M. Shantaraju in Ujjodi on Sunday night.

According to the police, Mr. Shantaraju was on night patrol. Around 11 p.m. when his vehicle was going towards Ujjodi, a car suddenly swerved to the right and hit his vehicle. The police said the driver and a passenger in the car were injured. The two, who were also reportedly found in an inebriated, were taken to a nearby private hospital. The police said identity of the victims was being ascertained. A case has been registered.
