In a protest against the collection of toll from vehicles at Brahmarakootlu toll booth, Karnataka Kannada Sene members attempted to stop vehicles on the Mangaluru – Bengaluru national highway (NH 75) on Wednesday. The protesters also demanded to end the concept of toll roads in the State.

Chandrashekar A, District President of Karnataka Kannada Sene said: “The government should pay the contractors for the construction of the road and stop collecting toll from the commuters.”

Members of the Kannada Sene also demanded the government to stop collecting toll from travellers for the construction of the road. The protestors symbolically stopped traffic on the busy highway for a few minutes. The organisation threatened to “continue” protests until the toll booth was removed.
