President Pranab Mukherjee will be visiting Sri Krishna Mutt and Sri Mookambika Temple at Kollur in Udupi district on June 18.
A preparatory meeting on security arrangements for the President’s visit was held at the District Offices Complex here on Wednesday.
Priyanka Mary Francis, Deputy Commissioner, presided over the meeting. Nodal officers have been appointed to look after various departments during the visit. Issues related to medical units and food safety officers were also discussed.
Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district, G. Anuradha, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Udupi district, Shilpa Nag, Assistant Commissioner, N. Vishnuvardhana, Additional Superintendent of Police, Amarnath, Deputy Conservator of Forests, tahsildars of all three taluks and officers of Engineering Division, were present at the meeting.
