May 13, 2017 01:24 am | Updated 01:24 am IST - Mangaluru

Mayor Kavita Sanil got a roadside parking chain link fence, erected by Surabhi Complex, near KSRTC Junction in Bejai during an inspection on Friday.

The Mayor said that no commercial complex or shops could reserve parking area on the road as it belonged to all and not only to its customers.

She found garbage dumped behind Tribhuvan complex building and some auto drivers on the spot complained that garbage was being dumped by some shop owners in the complex as well as by those who sold food in the roadside mobile canteens in the evenings.

She instructed the officials to clean the area at the earliest. The drivers also told her that if it was cleaned they would ensure that no one dumped garbage during the day.
