Vidyadheesha Tirtha Swami of Palimar Mutt, who will ascend the Paryaya Peetha on Thursday, invited Sugunendra Tirtha Swami of Puttige Mutt for the Paryaya festival, here on Wednesday.
The Palimar seer went to the Puttige Mutt along with the presiding deity of the Palimar Mutt in a palanquin followed insignia holders and traditional musicians.
Prayers offered
Prayers were then offered at Puttige Mutt. Addressing devotees, Sugunendra Tirtha Swami said that the second Paryaya of the Palimar seer should be a grand success. “His second Paryaya is like my fourth Paryaya. I have always had cordial relations with the Palimar seer,” he said. The Palimar seer said that it was a great responsibility for him to ascend the Paryaya Peetha the second time on Thursday and worship Lord Krishna at the Sri Krishna Mutt/Temple.
