Oman student duped

A citizen from Oman was duped with a fake letter of admission with regard to an educational course in Manipal here on Wednesday. Superintendent of Police Sanjeev M. Patil said here on Wednesday that a citizen from Oman, Murthad Nadim Al Rawahi (21), came to Manipal University for admission to B.Com course. He came to Manipal on a student visa. The authorities of the university came to know that Rawahi had been duped with a fake letter of admission. He has already paid U.S. $ 6,600 as fees.

As per the recommendation of the Manipal University, the Udupi police would get his student visa cancelled. Rawahi has been asked to leave the country in three days with an Exit Permit.
