Milagres College to be opened on Wednesday

Vice-Chancellor of Mangalore University T.C. Shivashankara Murthy will inaugurate the first degree college of the Milagres Group of Institutions, Milagres College, at Hampankatta here on Wednesday, a release said.

It will offer B.Com. and BBM courses from this year. At present, the college is located in the campus of Milagres Pre-University College at Hampankatta. The management has planned to build a new building for the degree college, opposite to Hotel Moti Mahal in Falnir.

At present, the Milagres Group of Institutions have a student strength of 2,670 and a faculty of 105 in classes from kindergarten to PU courses.

The Milagres school was founded by Bishop Bernardin in 1848. It began as an English primary school with classes from one to five.
