Mr. Praveen told presspersons that installation of CCTV cameras was in response to the call given by Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda to bring in transparency in governance.

Mr. Praveen said the CCTV cameras would be installed at all places in the MCC where services were offered to people. These cameras would start functioning shortly, he said. Every corporation had to choose two roads and the Government will give Rs. 2 crore for the development of each road, he said.

He said the corporation had assigned to Kalkura Advertising Agency the task of remodelling 100 bus stops with the agency getting the rights of advertising at the remodelled bus stops.
