It published the first volume of 1,200 pages with 118 articles in March last. The articles in it dealt with the period in which Kanakadasa lived, his caste, religion and life and ‘Kanakana kindi’ at Sri Krishna Temple in Udupi.

The second volume would have 191 articles. They would throw light on the four masterpieces of the saint poet. They are Mohana Tarangini, Ramadhanya Charite, Nala Charite and Haribhakthisara.

These articles were published in various magazines, books and newspapers, he said.

Mr. Shetty said that the third volume to be published later would have 87 articles on his “keerthanas”.

The fourth volume would have 85 articles. They compared works of Kanakadasa with other dasas.

The last fifth volume would have 85 general articles on Kanakadasa.

When all five volumes would be out they would throw light comprehensively on the life, works and thinking of Kanakadasa. The published articles analyse Kanakadasa from different perspectives, he said.
