Kannada film being shot on cellphone

A Kannada feature film ‘Love Baba’, being shot on a mobile telephone, will feature a transgender as its heroine.

Addressing presspersons here on Tuesday, Chandan Gowda, director and producer of the film, said that it was perhaps for the first time a transgender was the heroine of a film.

The shooting of the film was being done in Mangaluru and Mysuru. The film which will be shot at a cost of ₹30 lakh will be released by the end of the year. The songs of the film, however, will be short on regular camera. Love and comedy were major elements of the film, he said.

Rahman, the film’s hero, was present.
