One-and-half months after the last accident, Nanthoor Circle in the city witnessed another road accident on Tuesday with four persons getting injured.

The persons were injured when a city bus and a fish-carrying lorry collided at the circle on Tuesday.

The police said that the bus was plying from Kulashekar to Kadri while the lorry was heading from Udupi to Pumpwell.

The four injured are Abdul Rehman, a worker, and his daughter, Lalith (45), a native of Gurupura, and Bartan Monterio (50), an employee of the Port, said the police.

A case has been registered with the Mangaluru East Traffic Police station against Kalandar Shafi, bus driver, accusing him of rash and negligent driving.

Five persons have died and nearly 20 persons have been injured, some of whom are still undergoing treatment for grievous injury, in four accidents reported since May 2014 at the spot.
