The Artists’ Forum will organise an art exhibition, to mark its silver jubilee, at Gallery Dristi, here from August 12 to 15.

Addressing presspersons here recently, Ramesh Rao, president of the forum, said that in the last 25 years the forum had organized several national and State art camps, lecture-demonstrations by senior artists and workshops in Udupi and other places in the district.

Over 40 paintings, in acrylic, oil, mixed and water colour media, of 28 artists will be displayed at the exhibition.

The forum will also organise a State-level art camp and workshop on art and paintings throughout the year.

In November an exhibition in Mangaluru will be held, he said.

G.K. Prabhu, Pro Vice Chancellor (Technology and Management) of Manipal University will inaugurate the exhibition here at 4.30 p.m. on Saturday.

The exhibition would be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on all three days, Mr. Rao said.
