Niranjan N. Chiplunkar, Principal of NMAM Institute of Technology (NMAMIT) at Nitte in Udupi district, was awarded the ‘Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan National Award for Best Engineering College Principal’ at the 44th ISTE National Annual Convention held at College of Engineering at Thiruvananthapuram on November 27. A release on Saturday said the award was given for his contribution to the development of the NMAMIT and in getting it national recognition.
