If a student misses to be present for the document verification on the given day he or she can produce them later before the deadline for document verification for admission to undergraduate professional courses ends, according to P. Jagajeevandas Bhandary, an official from the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) and who is also principal, Government Pre-University College, Vamadapadavu.

He was participating at The Hindu EducationPlus Career Counselling session at Sri Ramakrishna College, Bunts Hostel here on Sunday. Mr. Bhandary said that the document verification of those who had obtained ranks in the Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to professional undergraduate courses conducted by the KEA would be conducted across 12 helpline centres in the State in addition to the KEA office in Bengaluru. He said that 1.58 lakh students had appeared for the CET in the State. The helpline centre in Mangaluru would be at Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management at Adyar. It would have a minimum of nine counters for verification. If required more counters would be arranged.

He clarified that getting the pre-university study certificate countersigned was not a must if a student has studied in Karnataka. If one wants to get admission under rural quota producing income certificate is must, Mr. Bhandary said. He said that all candidates would have to submit two photographs, a copy of on-line application filed, admission ticket, SSLC marks card, Pre-University Marks card and Study Certificate. Their photo copy would have to be submitted during document verification.

Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM was the radio partner. V4 News 24 X 7 was the channel partner. The venue sponsor was NSS unit of Ramakrishna College, Mangaluru.
