Dindigul district has 17.53 lakh voters

Total voters in Theni district are 10,42,656 voters

About 20,419 voters were included in the electoral roll in Dindigul district and 2,503 applications were rejected on technical grounds. Around 18,706 names were deleted from the voter list, mostly names of the deceased. The total voters are 17,53,444, including 8,61,163 men, 8,92,131 women and 150 others.

Releasing the final electoral roll here on Wednesday, Collector T.G. Vinay said the total number of voters in Palani: 2,62,757, (1,29,777 men, 1,32,950 women and 30 others). The total electors in Oddanchatram: 2,25,926, including 1,11,354 men and 1,14,564 and others 8 and total electors in Athoor: 2,72,449 of whom, men 1,32,094, women 1,40,340 and 15 others.

The total voters in Nilakottai are 2,23,536, including 1,10,648 men and 1,12,883 women and five others and total voters in Natham are 2,63,829 of whom 1,29,708 men, 1,34,077 women and 44 others.

The number of total voters in Dindigul are 2,54,735, including 1,24,328 men, 1,30,364 women and 43 others and total voters in Vedasandur are 2,50,212, including 1,23,254 men, 1,26,953 and five others. A copy of the roll would be kept in all local body offices in the district for verification, he added.

Over 18,000 names were deleted from the roll after door-to-door verification. When we compared elector-population ratio analysis, the district average was 73.84%, which was below the State average 74.71% only.

Theni

A total of 9,032 voters were added in the revised electoral roll. Of the 33,641 applications received, 989 forms were rejected on technical grounds. Around 20,639 names were deleted from the roll.

Releasing the roll at the Collectorate here on the same day, Collector N. Venkatachalam said that total electorate in the district after revision are 10,42,656, including 5,14,526 men, 5,27,977 women and 153 others in the district, which was less than total voters 10,54,263 in draft roll released on October 3, 2017.

A total of 2,56,154 voters, including 1,27,321 men, 1,28,813 women, and 20 others – are in Andipatti constituency. In Periakulam, men voters are 1,28,865, women voters 1,32,492 and others 91. The total voters are 2,61,448 voters.

Total voters in Bodinayakkanur are 2,58,582 of whom 1,27,525 are men, 1,31,044 women and 13 others. In Cumbum, the total voters are 2,66,472, including 1,30,815 men, 1,35,628 women and 29 others, he added.

Virudhunagar

Virudhunagar district has 15,59,247 voters in its seven Assembly constituencies.

Collector A. Sivagnanam, released the roll with 144 transgender, 7,64,860 men and 7,94,243 women.

A total of 12,635 new voters have been included after scrutiny of 13,217 applications during the summary revision taken up between October 3 and December 15, a statement said.

Women voters outnumbered men in all the seven Assembly constituencies.

While Sivakasi had the most number of voters with 2,39,300 voters, Tiruchuli had the least number of voters with 2,09,322. The number of transgender voters ranged from 10 to 34.

The Collector said that all the new voters would get their voterr identity card with multi-colour photographs on Janaury 25during the National Voters Day.

People who want to add, delete their names or incorporate changes in their names and address can submit their applications to Election Sections in the Taluk offices concerned.

District Revenue Officer, I. Anandkumar, Personal Assistant to District Collector, Senthilkumari, Tahsildar (Election), Baskaran, and representatives of recognised political parties were present.

Ramanathapuram/Sivaganga

As names of more than 10,000 voters were deleted in the two districts during the ‘special summary revision 2018’, the final electoral roll as on January 1, 2018, released on Wednesday, showed a decline of more than 2,000 votes compared to the draft rolls released in October last.

As per the draft electoral roll, the total electorate in four assembly constituencies in Ramanathapuram district stood at 11,24,679 – 5,61,868 men, 5,62,744 women and 67 third gender. After special summary revision from October 3 to December 15 last, 10,119 new voters were included but the deletion during the period was 12,677 leaving the final tally at 11,22,201 voters in the district – 5,60,410 men, 5,61,726 women and 65 transgenders.

Releasing the roll, Collector S. Natarajan said the final roll would be available in all the village panchayats, booth level officers, designated locations in polling stations and offices of municipalities for the voters to check their names in the roll. Those who had completed the age of 18 years as on January 1, 2018 could enrol their names, he said.

In Sivaganga, Collector G. Latha released the final roll at the Collectorate. The total electorate in four Assembly segments as per the draft roll in the district stood at 11,09,746 – 5,48,814 men, 5,60,885 women and 47 third gender. After inclusion of 8,604 new voters, names of 10,775 voters were deleted, leaving the final tally in the final electoral roll at 11,07,575, Collector said.

Paramakudi: Total: 2,50,367 (Men 1,24,106, Women 1,26,242, Others 19).

Thiruvadanai: Total: 2,78,076 (Men 1,39,501, Women 1,38,553, Others 22).

Ramanathapuram: Total 2,90,250 (Men 1,44,630, Women 1,45,603, Others 17).

Mudukulathur: Total 3,03,508 (Men 1,52,173, Women 1,51,328, Others 7).

Total: 11,22,201 (Men 5,60,410, Women 5,61,726, Others 65).

Sivaganga district:

Karaikudi: Total 2,92,939 (Men 1,44,854, Women 1,48,046, Others 39)

Tirupattur: Total 2,76,031 (Men 1,36,241, Women 1,39,783, Others 7)

Sivaganga: Total 2,78,766 (Men 1,37,631, Women 1,41,134, Others 1)

Manamadurai: Total 2,59,839 (Men 1,28,880, Women 1,30,958, Others 1)
