Distribution of mark sheets of Plus Two students began at all the schools in the city on Wednesday. Online registration of the students with the employment exchange was also done simultaneously at all the schools.
According to Collector L. Subramanian, the system of online registration in the State helped in saving the time of students and officials. The Department of Employment and Training introduced the system three years ago.
“This is a good move by the State government and convenient for both students and the parents. It saves a lot of time,” said Krithiga Rani, a student of Nirmala Girls Higher Secondary School.
G. Shekar, Regional Deputy Director, Employment and Training, said if there were any technical glitches, the students had the option of registering themselves in another government school. Since most of the students would have registered themselves in Standard X itself, they would be required to bring the registration details. “This will enable them to simply update the existing application rather than creating a new one. If 10 lakh students created new applications, it will overwhelm the servers,” he said.
Chief Educational Officer C. Amuthavalli said the online registration and distribution of mark sheets would be completed in a week.
