Special trains via Tirunelveli

To clear the extra rush, Southern Railway will operate the following special trains between Kochuveli and Chennai Egmore:

Train Number 06068 Kochuveli – Chennai Egmore special fare special train will leave Kochuveli at 3.30 p.m. on August 23 and 30 and reach Chennai Egmore at 5.45 a.m. the next day.

Composition of this train will be two AC 2-tier, three AC 3-tier, 11 Sleeper Class, two General Second Class and two Luggage-cum-brake vans.

This special fare special train will stop at Thiruvananthapuram, Kulithurai, Nagercoil Town, Valliyoor, Tirunelveli, Kovilpatti, Satur, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchi, Vriddhachalam, Villupuram, Chengalpattu, Tambaram and Mambalam.

Train Number 82607 Chennai Egmore – Kochuveli Suvidha special train will leave Chennai Egmore at 8.20 p.m. on August 24 and 31, and reach Kochuveli at 12.25 p.m. the next day.

Composition of this train will be two AC 2-tier, three AC 3-tier, 11 Sleeper Class, two General Second Class and two Luggage-cum-brake vans.

This train will stop at Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Vriddhachalam, Tiruchi, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Satur, Kovilpatti, Tirunelveli, Valliyoor, Nagercoil Town, Kulithurai and Thiruvananthapuram.

Cancelled

Following special trains between Kochuveli – Karaikkal are cancelled due to poor patronage.

Train Number 06044 Kochuveli – Karaikkal special train, scheduled to leave Kochuveli on August 23 and 30.

Train Number 06043 Karaikkal – Kochuveli special train, scheduled to leave Karaikkal on August 24 and 31, official statements said.

The following trains have been cancelled due to heavy rain and inundation of tracks in north-eastern parts of the country: Train Number 12516, Guwahati – Thiruvananthapuram Express scheduled to leave Guwahati on August 23, Train Number 15905, Kanniyakumari – Dibrugarh Express scheduled to leave Kanniyakumari on August 24 and Train Number 12508 Thiruvananthapuram - Guwahati Express scheduled to leave Thiruvananthapuram Central on August 25.
