Special camps held

Cooptex Managing Director and Special Observer T.N. Venkatesh and District Collector L. Subramanian carried out an inspection of the special camps which were held to enable the process of linking Aadhaar Card with the Voter ID card issued by the Election Commission of India, here on Sunday.

Mr. Venkatesh inspected the camps at Ilango Higher Secondary School, Umaru Pulavar High School, Avaniapuram Panchayat Union Primary School and the Perungudi Panchayat School. The camp was held across the 2,671 polling booths in the district.

The officials in the camps received the Aadhaar card details from the public in order to link it with the voters ID and the camps saw a huge turnout.

As a part of the special camp, the public were also given forms for including their names into the voters list and updation of their details such change in name and address.
