Members of the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) Retired Employees’ Welfare Association staged a sit-in demonstration in front of the TNSTC head office on Bypass Road in Madurai on Tuesday.

Pressing their six-point charter of demands, the members, led by office-bearers from Madurai, Dindigul, Virudhunagar and State Express Transport Corporation (SETC)-Madurai, urged the government to issue bus pass for widows drawing pension, drop the move to implement new pension scheme and to take over the pension disbursal scheme for the Corporation and issue all monetary benefits on the date of superannuation of the employees.
