Postal grievance meet on April 22

The Department of Posts is holding a regional level ‘Dak Adalat’ at the office of the Postmaster General, Southern Region, in Bibikulam here on April 22 from 11 a.m.

Grievances of postal customers will be personally heard and solved and they have send their complaints to M.Marippan, Assistant Postmaster General (Staff), office of the Postmaster General, Southern Region, Madurai-625002, before April 10.

Complaints should contain full details such as date and time of posting, full address of sender and addressee, registration receipt number with date and office of booking for money order/registered/insured/speed post articles, according to a press release here.

If the complaint is about savings schemes or postal life insurance, the complaint should contain the account number or insurance policy number and the full address of the depositor or insurant, name of the post office, details of recovery and any reference from the postal department, if available.

Complaints for Dak Adalat may be sent only through ordinary post/registered post superscribing on the cover as Dak Adalat subject.

Correspondence sent through courier services will not be accepted. After scrutiny of the grievances, necessary intimation to attend the adalat will be sent, the press release said.
