Virudhunagar district administration has started issuing computer-generated work orders for construction of houses under Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme to avoid delaying in issuing the same to the beneficiaries.
A statement said that a total of 1,902 dwelling units measuring 269 square feet at a cost of ₹ 2,00,270 -- ₹ 1.70 lakh from Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme, ₹ 18,270 under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and ₹ 12,000 under Swatchh Bharat Mission -- would be constructed.
The beneficiaries were being selected based on the 2011 socio-economic census.
Stating that in the past, the beneficiaries faced difficulties in getting the work orders from the Block Development Offerers (Village Panchayat).
To prevent the delay, computer-generated work orders with the details of the beneficiaries like address, Aadhar Card number, their photographs, identity card number under MGNREGS, house-site, priority number and the number in the list of Soci-Economic condition would be provided.
Such a work would be issued by the Block Development Officer. BEneficiaries have been asked to make use of the opportunity.
