An Ifthar function for religious harmony was organised at Mohamed Sathak Engineering College, Kilakarai, near here, on Monday in which a large number of people from different walks of life participated.
Those who addressed the gathering included Abdul Rahman, Member of Parliament; K. Nantha Kumar, Collector; M. Ramasubramanian, Deputy Inspector General of Police, and Kaliraj Mahesh Kumar, Superintendent of Police. They emphasised the need to show love and affection towards fellow human beings and to foster secularism and communal harmony.

A newsletter of the college was released by Mr. Abdul Rahman on the occasion.
The first copies of the newsletter were received by Mr. Nantha Kumar and S. M. Yousuf, secretary, Mohamed Sathak Trust.
Those present on the occasion of Ifthar function included S. M. Hamid Abdul Quadir, chairman of the Mohamed Sathak trust and A. Mohamed Jahabar, Principal of the Mohamed Sathak Engineering College.
