A motorbike-rider Kalirajan(42) was killed when a Kerala registered sports utility vehicle fatally knocked him down near Krishnankoil on Sunday afternoon.
The police said that Kalirajan, who was involved in fertilizer business, was returning home at M. Pudupatti after visiting Rajapalayam. While he was riding the bike, the SUV hit his motorbike and he died on the spot.
The police said that the four-wheeler that was proceeding to Kerala lost control after one of its tyres burst and it hit head-on at the bike. The Krishnankoil police have booked S. Sherif (42) of Kollam.
