Honesty of a judge is his capacity to accept diverse views. A judge must look at the cause before him and not the person presenting the case, said Madras High Court Judge, Justice C. T. Selvam at the 145 anniversary of the Madurai Bar Association, held at the District Court campus, here on Monday.

Justice M. S. Ramesh, remembering his days as a law student in the city said he used to frequent the District Court as a student.

Former Assistant Solicitor General of India Pon.Muthuramalingam also attended the event.

All the sitting judges, advocates and other staff of the District Court attended the event. The Madurai Bar Association felicitated senior advocates who had dedicated more than 50 years in the profession. They were given mementos commemorating their achievement.
