Land grabbing case against ex-Mayor, kin

The Madurai Rural police have registered a case of land grabbing against former Madurai Mayor and former DMK MLA representing Tirupparankundram Assembly constituency C. Ramachandran and two of his relatives.

A. Gurusamy of Viraghanoor had lodged a complaint with the Silaiman police stating that Mr.Ramachandran, his brother Sundarapandian and his nephew Vivek had taken possession of his land, measuring over 1.50 acre, in Silaiman, by promising a suitable land to him in return. But they did not give him any land, he alleged in his complaint.
