Children should keep practising and never give up their enthusiasm for learning new things to succeed in their lives, said M. Davamani Christober, Principal, The American College, while speaking at the Madurai final of ‘The Handwriting Wizards 2017,’ a handwriting contest for school students organised by The Hindu In School in association with BIC Cello India here on Saturday.

Stressing the importance of good handwriting, Mr. Christober said that even teachers would have a pleasant disposition towards evaluating answer-sheets with good handwriting.

“Moreover, handwriting is also a reflection of a person’s character and there is a separate field called graphology that deals with it,” he added.

Echoing his views, P. Hamsa Priya, Principal, Mahatma School - CBSE, which was the venue partner for the event, appealed to the students to give importance to their handwriting even though it was getting sidelined with the emergence of electronic gadgets.

K. Sridhar, Director of ACE Write Handwriting School, who was also the judge for the competition, advised the students as how they could improve their handwriting to score better in the examinations.

L. Venkatesan, Zonal Sales Manager, BIC Cell India, highlighted the importance of learning multiple languages apart from one’s mother tongue for success.
