Admission to masters’ and bachelors’ degree programmes offered by Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) for 2013-14 is going on now. The last date to submit filled-in application forms is June 15.
The postgraduate courses offered by IGNOU include MCA, M.Sc. in Dietetics and Food Service Management, M.A. in Rural Development, English, Social Work, Gandhian and Peace Studies, Economics, History, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, Psychology, Extension and Development Studies, Gender and Development Studies, Anthropology, Tourism Management and Hindi.
Undergraduate courses
The undergraduate courses for which admissions are open are B.Com, B.Sc. in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences, B.A. in English, Hindi, History, Economics, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy and Social Work, BCA and BLIS.
In a press release issued on Wednesday, S.Mohanan, Regional Director, IGNOU Madurai Regional Centre, said the varsity also offered non-formal stream Bachelor Preparatory Programme (in Tamil medium too) to those who had not completed 10+2 schooling but attained the age of 18 years.
