Hostels invite applications

Tamil Nadu Harijan Seva Sangh is running hostels for boys and girls named after Mohandas Gandhi and Kasturba respectively at Melur near here. Students belonging to Adi Dravidar, Other Backward Classes and Most Backward Classes are being admitted to these hostels.

A release from R. Srinivasan, secretary of the hostels, says that boys and girls studying Class VI to IX who wish to join the two hostels could avail the application forms at the hostel and submit the same for admissions.

It also runs NMR Subbaraman Memorial Residential School, which is functioning as a special school for students of Adi Dravidar community, in the city. The school provides accommodation, food, uniforms, notebooks, medi-care and quality education free of cost.

Admissions are under way at the school for Class I to V. The school authorities can be contacted for admission.
