EPFO launches special drive

June 22, 2010 04:01 pm | Updated 04:01 pm IST - MADURAI:

A special drive has been launched by the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) to facilitate withdrawal of PF deposits of those subscribers who have left their amount unclaimed for over three years.

All such employees must submit their application for withdrawal of PF deposit with proper identification through their employer.

The trade unions have been requested to suggest the rightful claimant for withdrawing the PF amount.

The employers have been asked to intimate those employees who have not withdrawn the PF deposit for more than three years.

An official release noted that those employees covered under the Employees' PF and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 1952 have to contribute to the PF at 12 per cent with the employer also contributing an equivalent sum.
