Differently abled persons visiting the Collector’s office to submit their grievances shall henceforth be armed with an identity card. This would enable them in attending to their issues swiftly and among others.

As a first step, such persons who arrived here to submit their petitions, but did not possess an identity card, were provided with one on the spot.

For this purpose, Collector Anshul Mishra had formed a team of doctors from the Government Rajaji Hospital to examine the persons with disabilities and give a report. Based on the findings, the identity cards were issued to five persons on Monday. The beneficiaries could submit two passport size photos and a photograph of the disability for swift reference.

In future, such differently abled persons shall be given an identity card, an official press release said.

At the grievance meeting, Mr. Mishra went around the hall, where the public were seated with petitions. He personally handed over tri-cycles to severely disabled persons also.

During the meeting, Mr. Mishra also gave away welfare assistance to beneficiaries.
