Devotees offer special prayers in temple on ‘Chithirai Thirunal'

Devotees on Wednesday thronged temples in different parts of the district on the occasion of ‘Chithirai Thirunal.'

A large number of people visited Sri Ramanathasamy Temple in Rameswaram.

Long queues were seen in the temple for the darshan of Sri Ramanathaswamy and Godess Parvathavardini.

Special pujas were performed.

Coincidence

Since the day coincided with ‘Ammavasya,' those who visited Rameswaram to take a holy dip, also visited the temple.

The temples in Ramanathapuram including Vazhi Vidu Murugan, Siva witnessed huge crowd. People also visited the Adi Jegannatha Temple in Thirupullani and Uthirakosamangai Temple.
