Mr. Srinivasan was assaulted by two unidentified persons near Nagamalai Pudukottai here on Friday morning when he was returning home after a walk. In his complaint, he alleged that the assaulters used obscene language against him and warned not to act against the vice chancellor.

According to him, the assault came after he submitted an appeal to the Tamil Nadu Governor to remove vice chancellor of MKU Dr. Kalyani Mathivanan for providing “false” information to the search committee during her selection for the top post of the varsity.
