Change in train patterns

Some changes have been made in train services on Tiruchchirappalli – Villupuram section (chord line) due to the engineering work for launching pre-cast boxes and slabs for the construction of a Limited Use Subway between Srirangam and Tiruchchirappalli Town stations on July 6.

According to the press release issued here, four trains have been diverted to run via the main line viz. Tiruchchirappalli, Thanjavur, Mayiladuturai and Villupuram on July 6.

Train Number 12636 Madurai – Chennai Egmore Vaigai Express will reach Villupuram 60 minutes late. Train Number 12635 Chennai Egmore – Madurai Vaigai Express will reach Tiruchchirappalli 60 minutes late.

Train Number 16127/16129 Chennai Egmore – Guruvayur/Tuticorin Link Express will reach Tiruchchirappalli 60 minutes late and Train Number 16128/16130 Guruvayur/Tuticorin – Chennai Egmore Link Express will reach Villupuram 60 minutes late.

The trains partially cancelled on July 6 include Train Number 56706 Madurai – Villupuram Passenger, which is partially cancelled between Tiruchchirappalli and Villupuram and Train Number 56705 Villupuram – Madurai Passenger which is partially cancelled between Villupuram and Tiruchchirappalli.

Train Number 12605 Chennai Egmore – Karaikkudi Pallavan Express, which was scheduled to leave Chennai Egmore at 3.45 p.m. on July 6, is rescheduled to leave Chennai Egmore at 4.30 p.m., the release added.
