Southern Railway will augment the following trains with additional coaches: Chennai Central-Nagercoil-Chennai Central weekly express (Train Nos.12689/12690) will be permanently augmented with two second class sleeper coaches from Chennai Central with effect from March 20 and from Nagercoil with effect from March 22.
Rameswaram-Okha-Rameswaram weekly express (Train Nos.16733/16734) will be permanently augmented with one second class sleeper coach from Rameswaram with effect from March 20 and from Okha with effect from March 24, according to a railway statement.
Chennai Central-Palani-Chennai Central express (Train Nos.22651/22652) will be permanently augmented with one second class sleeper coach from Chennai Central with effect from March 18 and from Palani with effect from March 19.
