35 get Urdu course certificate

Certificates were given to candidates who completed one-year diploma course in Urdu offered by the National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL), New Delhi, at a function held at Kathapatti near here on Sunday.

The correspondence course was conducted by Gausia Foundation. Chief guest Hazrath Fazlur Rahman Shah, a religious scholar from Kanpur, handed over certificates to 35 successful candidates, including 15 girls.

Jashn-E-Dastarnbandi, the convocation of Al Jamiatul-Gausul-Wara, was also held on the occasion.

The “Hafiz” title was conferred on three candidates who had memorised the Holy Quran. Mohamed Ashraf Gani Sayani, president of Gausia Foundation, said that the diploma course was introduced three years ago. It had evoked a good response and 100 candidates joined it this year. Moulvi Syed Vajihun Naqi, correspondent of Al Jamiatul-Ghousul-Wara, spoke.
