14 held for murder of 3 near Paramakudi

Police arrested 14 people, including three juveniles, in connection with the murder of three people in Pambuvizhundan and Ponnaiyapuram villages near Paramakudi on Tuesday, when they were going to Pasumpon for paying homage to Muthuramalinga Thevar on his 105th jayanthi and 50th guru puja.

The police said four people had been arrested in connection with the murder of M. Sivakumar (25) at Pambuvizhundan.

Ten people, including three juveniles, had been arrested in connection with the double murder of V. Veeramani and M. Malaikannan at Ponnaiyapuram, near the five point junction in Paramakudi.

They were produced before the Judicial Magistrate court, Paramakudi, and remanded to judicial custody. The juveniles had been sent to a juvenile home in Madurai
