The issue of lack of personnel in the cyber cell here will be resolved soon as the number of cases of cyber crime are on the rise, Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, Minister for Home, has said. He was speaking after inaugurating the seminar organised as part of Janamatri Suraksha Paddathi, the community policing initiative, here on Tuesday. “There is a demand for more police stations in Kochi. A new police station has already been commissioned at Maradu and the request for a new one at Elamakkara will be considered. Janamaitri Suraksha Paddathiis now at 120 police stations and will be extended to 248 stations in the fourth phase,” he said. A cyber station should be commissioned in the city immediately to overcome the limitation faced by the force to register cases and initiate probe in cyber crimes, said K. Babu, Minister for Excise.
