Two persons were arrested from near Marine Drive here on Saturday with about 1.25 kg of ganja in their possession.
Navas, 30, of Vypeen, and Jose Jacob, 21, of Edakochi, allegedly sold ganja near Marine Drive and Penta Menaka. Police said Navas went to Kumily in Idukki to procure the substance. The duo then sold it in packets of different sizes for anything between Rs.500 to Rs.2,000.
Police said Jose Jacob worked at a mobile phone shop at Penta Menaka. He allegedly directed customers to come to the shop and handed over the ganja to them there.
Police also seized a motorbike used by the duo. The arrest was made when Navas was handing over the ganja to Jose at Marine Drive, the police said.
