Thampy sweeps awards at Miss Kerala contest

Indu Thampy hailing from Thiruvananthapuram was adjudged Miss Kerala in a hotly contested final held at Le Meridian International Convention Centre here on Thursday.

The contest lasted almost five hours and went late into night before the results were out close to midnight.

Manju Raj from Shornur and Sonal Devraj from Kannur were the first and second runner-ups in the final featuring 22 contestants. The winners emerged out of a final round contested by five participants in which they were required to answer a question posed to them by the panel of judges in just one minute.

Ms. Thampy was also bestowed with the Miss Radiant, Miss Sensuality, and Miss Beautiful Eyes titles as well, while Manju Raj won the Miss Beautiful Smile and Miss Vivacious titles.

Natasha Anil (Miss Talented), Neethu. R (Miss Beautiful Hair), Priyanka Premnath (Miss Beautiful Skin), Preethi Paul (Miss Perfect 10), Neethu. R (Miss Congeniality), Renu Kuriachan (Miss Voice), and Sneha Changroth (Miss Photogenic), were the other winners. The winners of the contest were adorned with diamond studded crowns.

A panel of 11 judges adjudicated the winners. The contest was divided into four rounds with the contestants turning up in sari, casual wear, fusion, and gown.

Hairomax was the title sponsor of the contest, which was organised by Impresario Event Management Limited. Cuticura, Lamda, VLCC, Idea Cellular, Club FM, Timeads, Titan, Le Meridian, Asset Summit Suites, Godrej, and Parinaya were the associate partners.
