Left Democratic Front (LDF) candidate in Thrissur constituency V.S. Sunil Kumar kick-started his election campaign by sowing vegetable seeds at a private farm land in Ayyanthole on Tuesday.
“I drew inspiration from the farm culture of our land. I am happy that I could start my electioneering with the sowing of seeds,” said Mr. Sunil Kumar. Farming is a political activity, which will take the country to self-sufficiency. The CPI and the CPI(M) have added farming in their daily core when the rulers started neglecting farming and farmers, he said. Thrissur is the only city Corporation in the State which has large tracts of paddy fields. The paddy fields are reservoirs of water. All paddy fields should be preserved, he said.
