Sunil Kumar, alias ‘Pulsar’ Suni, who is the main accused in the case related to the abduction and alleged sexual assault on a woman film actor, was taken for evidence collection on Saturday to the district jail at Kakkanad.
The main accused in the case was taken to the jail along with ‘Mesthiri’ Sunil and Vipinlal.
Focus on phone calls
The investigation on Saturday centred on the phone calls made by the accused from inside the Kakkanad jail.
The police are looking at how the accused persons acquired the phone, hid it and made the phone calls evading the prison authorities.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that the special investigation team probing the incident will question everyone in the cinema industry who had frequently called a prominent actor over the last six months.
