Study materials handed over to 4,000 students

The educational support scheme, Padikkam Padippikkam (Pa Pa), launched by District Collector M. G. Rajamanickam in association with the NGO, Anbodu Kochi, for meritorious students from poor families, has got off to a great start with school accessories being handed over to 4,000-odd students till Friday.

The distribution is being carried out by 50-odd volunteers of Anbodu Kochi from the Regional Sports Centre at Kadavanthra.

The whole-hearted support of various corporate firms, Non-Resident Keralites and various institutions and individuals has helped make the scheme a grand success, Mr. Rajamanickam said.

Potential beneficiaries and sponsors may turn up at the Regional Sports Centre for two more days.
