Several people participated in a protest here on Tuesday night against alleged moral policing by Kochi city police.

Titled ‘Freedom at midnight’, the protest was against the alleged abuse and assault on a woman social activist by the police, while she was walking alone at night in Kochi on Friday morning.

Activists, artistes, youth and women joined the protest held near the Kerala High Court.

The woman had accused the police of having abused and assaulted her while she was on her way to Ernakulam Town Railway station around 2 a.m on Friday.
