Sankara Jayanti at Sanskrit varsity

Governor P. Sathasivam will inaugurate the Sankara Jayanti celebrations organised by the Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit here on Tuesday.

Vice Chancellor M.C. Dileepkumar said here on Monday that national seminars, debate sessions and cultural programmes would be held as part of the celebrations.

Excise Minister K. Babu will preside over the inaugural function. T.P. Srinivasan, Vice Chairman of the State Higher Education Council, will inaugurate the national seminar on ‘Unknown Sankara’ on Wednesday.

Papers on the conference theme will be presented by experts from various parts of the country.
