District Collector and Election Officer P. Venugopal has called upon the public to dial the toll-free number 1800-425-5708, if they noticed any person or organisation illegally spending huge amounts of cash in the backdrop of the forthcoming elections. The number belongs to the Income Tax Department, which will immediately check into the complaints apart from informing the election authorities concerned, he said.
