Petition seeks directive on Assembly violence case

A petitioner has approached the Kerala High Court seeking a directive to the police to proceed with the complaint filed by the Secretary of the Assembly regarding the recent violent incidents in the State Assembly and a directive to file an action taken report.

Compensation

The petitioner, P.D. Joseph of Thrissur, on Tuesday sought a directive to the State government to realise adequate compensation for the damage caused in the State Legislative Assembly from the five Opposition MLAs K Ajith, V. Sivankutty, K.T. Jaleel, K. Kunhammed, and E.P. Jayarajan.

The five MLAs were suspended from the Legislative Assembly for vandalising the Speaker’s dais during budget presentation.
