Senior High Court Lawyer, Babu Varghese has been appointed as Additional Advocate General at the Kerala High Court. He succeeds P.C. Iype who passed away last month. Mr. Varghese began his practice under the guidance of senior lawyer late T.P. Kelu Nambair. He had also been involved in various socio-cultural activities. He was on the panel of lawyers constituted by the government to represent it at the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal. He had also worked as Standing Counsel for M.G. University and Kochi Corporation. He was a member of Faculty of Law, University of Kerala and General Council of the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi. He is now the senior counsel for the Kerala State Financial Enterprises Ltd. — Special Correspondent
